What a wonderful story. I absolutely adored the relationship built between Erik and Alex, and, of course, between Erik and Charles as well. But Erik and Alex were just adorable and a very pleasant surprise. Especially when Erik told Alex how to fight. It's quite similar to my dad's advice to me. I love it. I'm assuming this meant that Charles was haunting the house because of the pictures? And now he's connected to the chess set, well the knight. (...does this mean Erik's parents are ghosts?)
